● Term of Contract: August 2023 – August 2024 (with possibility of renewal)

● Teaching Grades: Secondary Grades 7-12

● Working Days: Monday through Friday

● Working Hours: 8am through 4pm

● Teaching Hours: 20-24 teaching hours per week (each class is 45 minutes)

Essential Qualifications:

● Degree: A bachelor’s degree in education or English is preferred

● Nationality: Candidates from the U.S.A, U.K, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Republic of South Africa are preferred.

● Experience: 2 years of teaching experience, preferably at a secondary school or Korean school

● Certification: A teaching license in the applicant’s home country or a CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL certification is preferred

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

● Teach spoken and written English to Korean students at KSW

● Work with Korean school faculty accordingly

● Teach speaking, writing, reading courses according to the school curriculum

● Manage extracurricular activities such as English summer camps and the school webzine

● Conduct after-school classes during the semester with additional pay

Salary and Benefits:

● base Salary: 14,000RMB per month pre-tax

● Housing Allowance: 3,000RMB per month (3,500RMB per month for candidates with families)

● Incentive Pay

a) Continuous Employment Incentive: 500RMB per year of continuous employment after the first year, up to a limit of 2,500RMB

b) Qualification Incentive: 1,000RMB per month for either a teaching license or a CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL certification

c) Fringe Incentive: 6,000RMB twice a year

● Accommodation Allowance: 1,250RMB to cover the costs of the employee's accommodation after arrival, subject to change

● Fees for processing and issuing the visa will be reimbursed.

● Airfare: Up to 3,000RMB of the cost of airfare will be reimbursed. If the airfare

exceeds 3,000RMB, 50% of the cost will be reimbursed, up to a limit of 5,000RMB.
