Responsibilities:
• Test Preparation Instruction: Design and deliver effective IELTS/TOEFL preparation lessons to help students develop the language skills necessary for success in the respective exams.
• Curriculum Development: Develop and update curriculum materials, lesson plans, and assessments in alignment with the latest IELTS/TOEFL examination requirements and standards.
• Individualized Instruction: Provide personalized instruction based on students‘ strengths and weaknesses, offering additional support and guidance where needed.
• Language Proficiency Assessment: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate students' language proficiency levels and track their progress, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive and engaging learning environment, managing classroom activities and promoting student participation through interactive teaching methods.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Foster a culturally inclusive atmosphere, understanding and respecting diverse backgrounds, and tailoring teaching methods to meet the needs of a multicultural student body.
• Feedback and Reporting: Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and communicate progress to parents or guardians regularly. Prepare comprehensive progress reports as required.
• Stay Informed on Language Testing Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends, changes, and developments in IELTS/TOEFL testing formats, ensuring that teaching materials and methods are up-to-date.
• Technology Integration: Integrate educational technology tools effectively into the teaching process, enhancing students' digital literacy and exposure to language resources.
• Test-Taking Strategies: Instruct students on effective test-taking strategies, including time management, critical reading, and writing techniques, to optimize their performance in IELTS/TOEFL examinations.
Requirements:
• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field.
Additional certifications in TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA are highly desirable.
• Teaching Experience: Proven experience (Preferrable 3 years and above) in teaching IELTS/TOEFL preparation courses, demonstrating a strong understanding of the exam format and requirements.
• Language Proficiency: Native proficiency in English. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) certification is an advantage.
• Cross-Cultural Competence: Ability to work effectively with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, demonstrating cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely.
• Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with educational technology tools and a willingness to incorporate them into the teaching and learning process.
